Pricing & Contracts
How much does Atlas cost?
Genesis (done-for-you website) is $99/month. Genesis Pro (website + AI proposals + e-signatures) is $149/month. Orion Starter (AI phone receptionist with 100 minutes) is $50/month. Orion Pro (500 minutes) is $199/month. The most popular plan is the Bundle: Genesis Pro + Orion Pro for $299/month — a $49 savings. Studio videos start at $125 per clip; the 4-clip subscription is $399/month. Local (Google Business Profile management) is $99/month.
Are there setup fees or hidden costs?
No setup fees. The price you see is the full price. The only variable cost is Orion overage minutes ($0.25-0.30/minute) which only kick in if you exceed your monthly call allowance — and you can upgrade to a higher tier if you need more capacity.
Do I need to sign a contract?
No. All plans are month-to-month. Cancel anytime. No early termination fees. The reason most agencies require contracts is that their customer acquisition cost is high. Our model is built differently — automation does the heavy lifting, so we can afford to let customers leave whenever.
What if I want to leave Atlas?
You keep your domain, your website content, your call recordings, your customer data, and your branding. We export everything in standard formats (HTML, PDF, MP3, CSV). No hostage situations. Most contractors stay because the math works, but lock-in isn’t part of our model.
Can I try Atlas before paying?
Yes. Enter any business URL on buildatlas.ai and Genesis will generate a real preview website in 60 seconds. Free, no credit card. You’ll see exactly what we’d build for you before you decide to subscribe.
How It Works
Is Atlas software I have to learn?
No. Atlas is a service, not software. We do the work for you. There’s a customer dashboard if you want to see what we’ve published and what calls Orion has handled, but you don’t have to use it. Most customers check it once a week.
What do I have to do to get started?
Tell us your business name, services, service area, and send us a few job photos. That’s it. Within 5-10 days, we’ll show you a complete website draft. You review, request any changes, we ship it live. Total time investment from you: 15-30 minutes.
How long until my website is live?
Typically 5-10 days from signup. We could publish faster but we want you to review the draft and request changes before we ship it.
How long until I see SEO results?
Local Map Pack rankings typically start showing in 60-90 days for low-competition cities, longer for major metros. Meaningful organic lead flow usually starts at the 6-month mark and compounds from there. Anyone promising ’page 1 in 30 days’ is lying. SEO is a long game and we tell you that up front.
Do I have to send you content?
Almost nothing. Tell us about your services and service area at signup. After that, we want a few job photos when you finish notable work — we use them for blog posts and Google Business Profile updates. That’s the entire content commitment from you.
Will you handle my Google Business Profile?
Yes — that’s a core part of the service. We claim it (if not done), optimize categories and services, post weekly updates, upload photos, monitor reviews, and build supporting citations. The GBP is the highest-leverage local SEO asset, and most contractors leave it stale.
Comparison Questions
How is Atlas different from Wix or Squarespace?
Wix and Squarespace are tools you use to build a website yourself. You pick the template, write the copy, configure SEO, and maintain it. Atlas is a service that does all of that for you. If you want to build your own site, use Wix. If you want a professional site without doing the work, use Atlas.
How is Atlas different from Hook Agency, Blue Corona, or Scorpion?
Same done-for-you service model. Different price and infrastructure. Traditional contractor agencies charge $1,500-$5,000/month with 6-12 month contracts and use 2018-era manual workflows. Atlas charges $99-$299/month with no contract and uses AI infrastructure. Same outcomes, 1/30th the price, plus we ship faster.
How is Atlas different from Housecall Pro or Jobber?
Different category entirely. Housecall Pro and Jobber are CRMs — they handle scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, and customer database. They don’t build websites, run SEO, or answer phones. Atlas does the customer-facing marketing work. Many of our customers use a CRM and Atlas together.
How is Atlas different from hiring a freelance web designer?
A freelance web designer charges $2,000-$5,000 once to build a website, and then you’re on your own for SEO, content, and updates. Atlas is $99-$149/month and includes ongoing SEO, monthly content publishing, and continuous optimization. The freelancer is a one-time project. Atlas is a long-term marketing partner.
How is Atlas different from a traditional answering service?
An answering service costs $200-500/month and uses humans who don’t know your business — they take messages and forward them. Orion costs $50-199/month, sounds like a real person, knows your business, qualifies leads with trade-specific questions, books appointments in your calendar, and transfers hot calls live. Better quality, much lower cost.
Can I use Atlas alongside my existing CRM?
Yes. Many customers run Atlas alongside Housecall Pro, Jobber, or ServiceTitan. The CRM handles scheduling and invoicing. Atlas handles marketing, customer-facing workflows, and phone answering. They solve different problems.
Can Atlas replace my existing marketing agency?
Most likely yes. If you’re paying $1,500-$5,000/month for a contractor marketing agency, Atlas delivers comparable done-for-you work for $99-$299/month. We’ve migrated customers from Hook Agency, Blue Corona, Scorpion, and local agencies. We export and migrate your existing content, then improve it with AI-search optimization.
Trades & Services
What trades does Atlas serve?
Roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security/CCTV, fire alarm, gutter cleaning and installation, excavation, landscaping, painting, fencing, tree service, pressure washing, pest control, deck building, remodeling, and general contracting. If you quote jobs and answer phones, Atlas works for you.
Do you only work in New Jersey?
No. We’re headquartered in NJ but serve contractors nationwide. Local SEO works the same in any market — we just optimize for the contractor’s actual service area. We have customers in multiple states.
What if my service area is very large?
Atlas builds per-city landing pages for every town you serve. We can build 5 pages or 50 pages depending on your service area. The more towns you serve, the more local search opportunities we capture.
Can Atlas handle multi-location businesses?
Yes. We build a primary site plus location-specific pages for each location. Each location gets its own optimized presence and (if you have separate phone numbers) its own Orion configuration.
AI Phone Receptionist (Orion)
What does Orion sound like?
Like a real person. We use ElevenLabs voice technology and trained call flows. Most callers don’t realize it’s AI. There are voice demos at buildatlas.ai/orion.
How does Orion know about my business?
We train it during onboarding. We ask about your services, pricing, service area, hours, emergency procedures, what qualifies as a hot lead, and how you want calls handled. We can update the training anytime — most contractors refine their Orion every few weeks during the first couple months.
Can Orion book appointments in my calendar?
Yes — Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, or any iCal-compatible system. Orion checks availability in real time and books the appointment, then sends both you and the customer a confirmation.
What happens if Orion doesn’t know how to handle a call?
Orion is trained to either offer a callback (capturing the lead) or transfer live to your cell. It never leaves a caller stranded. Every call is recorded and you get a text summary, so you can review and refine as needed.
Do I need a separate phone for Orion?
No. Orion runs on a number we provision. You can keep your existing number and forward calls to Orion (most contractors do this), or have Orion be the primary number with transfers to your cell.
What happens if I exceed my included minutes?
You’re never cut off. Overages are billed at $0.30/minute on Starter or $0.25/minute on Pro. We send alerts at 80% and 100% of your included usage so there are no surprises. If you’re consistently over, upgrading to a higher tier saves money.
Technical & Privacy
Who owns my content?
You do. All website content, blog posts, proposals, videos, and call recordings created during your time with Atlas belong to you. If you leave, you take everything.
Is my customer data secure?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We run on SOC 2 Type II infrastructure (Netlify, Supabase). Stripe processes all payments — we never store credit card numbers.
Do you train AI models on my business data?
No. Customer business data is not used to train AI models. Period. Your call recordings, customer information, and business operations stay private to you.
Are my calls recorded?
Yes, with caller consent (per applicable state regulations). Recordings and transcripts are private to you. They’re never shared, sold, or used for training.
Is Atlas Sign legally binding?
Yes. Atlas Sign (included with Genesis Pro) is compliant with the federal ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. § 7001) and NJ UETA. Every signed document includes a certificate of completion with IP address, timestamp, SHA-256 document hash, scroll-tracking, consent disclosure, and full audit trail.
What’s the uptime SLA?
99.9% on the website and AI receptionist. Our infrastructure (Netlify, Vapi, Supabase) is enterprise-grade. The rare downtime is usually upstream provider issues.
How do I migrate my existing website to Atlas?
We handle the migration. Send us your existing site URL or export. We rebuild it on Atlas infrastructure with proper SEO structure, then point your domain. You don’t lose any existing rankings — we set up 301 redirects from your old URLs to the new ones.
